Actually, no. Even though both series have young wizards, The Remin Chronicles are really not very much like Harry Potter. They are much more like the Wizard of Oz or the Chronicles of Narnia. If you enjoy the Oz books or the Narnia books, you'll probably like The Remin Chronicles.
